Week 4 - KU vs Henley.jpg

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Saturday night saw cross-town rivals, Klamath Union and Henley do battle on Hill O’Brien Field. KU came in winless on the season, Henley came in undefeated. When the clock hit zero, Henley remained undefeated.

Henley was able to score five touchdowns on the night, three came at the hands of fullback John Tacchini. Tacchini may have been the back the carried the ball across the goal line, it was Halfback Cameron O’Conner who carried it most for the Hornets.

The two other Henley touchdowns were scored by Joe Northcutt and Gavin Graham.

Thanks to a strong defense, Henley held Klamath Union scoreless in the first half. Klamath Union had a chance near the end of the second quarter when they drove inside the red zone to the 10 yard line. But Henley’s defense was too strong and forced a turnover on downs with seconds to go.

It would be near the end of the third quarter before Klamath Union could add some points to the scoreboard. Xavier Arivizu was able to pound one in following an 8 yard scramble to give the Pelicans their first 6 points. The ensuing PAT was low and blocked by the Hornets. This would be the only time the Pelicans would see the endzone all game.

Final Score - Henley 35, Klamath Union 6.

Next week Henley will travel to McLaughlin and Klamath Union will host Phoenix.
