KFDA Hires Rutledge as New Executive Director

The Klamath Falls Downtown Association (KFDA) has hired a new Executive Director!

Darin Rutledge will begin work Wednesday, April 18th. Darin was selected from a group of local, highly qualified applicants for this position and is eager to begin working with our wonderful downtown community.

Darin Rutledge is a native Oregonian and has spent his entire professional career in Klamath Falls. He was a manager in the business process outsourcing industry for nearly ten years and was the operations manager at Running Y for four years. In addition, he has 15 years’ experience as a project manager, and holds a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. He recently founded a small business focused on digital business services, and will be adjusting the scale of that venture to accommodate his role as Executive Director of the KFDA.

In addition to his professional experience, he is active in community development. He currently serves as the technical and communications coordinator for the Klamath IDEA eLeadership team, as vice president of the Klamath Community Leadership Foundation, as president of Steen Sports Park, and as the southern region representative on the Oregon Athletic Officials Association executive board. He is also a past president of the Klamath County Chamber of Commerce, past Chair of Klamath Vision 2020, and past board member of Klamath County Economic Development Association.

Darin and his wife Kat have two grown married children – Jeff and Emily – and one granddaughter (with two more on the way). In his spare time, Darin is a high school basketball official, and officiates high school and small college football and baseball. He also enjoys the outdoors, particularly camping and fishing.

The KFDA is very excited to have Darin as part of the downtown team. We look forward to what downtown will accomplish with his unique skill set and abilities. Please join us in welcoming him. He is excited to get to know you better and help add value to this great community.
