Moore Arrested Following DUII Crash into Residence

DUII arrest after crash into residence garage causing injury and extensive damage.

On Friday, July 06, 2018, at about 0236 hours, a vehicle eluded a Sheriff’s Deputy in the area of Bisbee Street and Anderson Avenue that resulted in a crash and an injury.

The vehicle, a 2017 Dodge Journey SUV driven by Lucas Moore, accelerated recklessly toward Summers Lane and then onto Sturdivant Avenue. The SUV struck garbage cans, mailboxes, and a fence before crashing into the attached garage at 4322 Maplewood Drive. The SUV crashed through the outside wall of the garage, striking the side of the homeowners’ vehicle; the homeowners’ vehicle then shoved violently sideways through the residence wall into the living area of the house. The homeowner suffered injury when struck by debris from the residence wall during the crash.

The driver, Lucas Moore, and his passenger emerged from the wreckage without injuries. Klamath County Fire District 1 responded.

Moore was arrested and lodged at the Klamath County Jail.
