No.15 Northwest Christian Downs Lady Owls

EUGENE Ore.-  Oregon Tech (13-8, 6-5 CCC) cut Northwest Christians 15-point lead down to just one point in the fourth quarter but NCU controlled the fourth quarter and held on for the 69-59 win at the Morse Event Center Saturday night.
 
The Beacons dominated the first quarter 19-11 and the second quarter 19-14 to take 38-25 lead into the halftime break. The Lady Owls had a big answer in the third stanza out-scoring NCU 21-11 as the two teams headed to the final period with Northwest Christian leading by only three at 49-46.
 
Tech ran out of gas in the final quarter as NCU bested the Owls 20-13 to win 69-59.
 
Bailey Nelson led the Owls with a double-double, 10-points and 11-rebounds with Megan Morris chipping in a team high 13-points and freshman Amanda Constant dropping in 12-points and 6-rebounds.
 
NCU was led by Katarina Brejchova with her own double-double 14-points and 10-rebounds.
 
OIT managed to win the battle of the boards over the much taller Beacons 44-42.
 
Oregon Tech will return home next Saturday for the 9th Annual Pink Out game against Northwest University at 4:00 pm.
