Yesterday there was some great #teamwork by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and OSP rescuing a young deer stuck on the ice.

A concerned landowner contacted OSP and reported a deer stuck 75 yards out on the ice on Spring Lake in southern Klamath County.

The landowner’s boat was borrowed and two ODFW biologists carefully reached the deer and brought it back to the shore.

The deer was so exhausted, the landowner graciously allowed ODFW to put the deer in his barn for the night to allow it to regain its strength. This morning, the young buck was released and is doing well.
