Congratulations to the Klamath Union High School’s Class of 2019 graduates!
Thirteen years in the making, today, 126 Seniors crossed the stage at Modoc Field to receive a high school diploma from Klamath Union today. These students are the first to complete their senior year inside the walls of the “New KU.”
“Within the class of 2019 there are seniors that represent the first high school graduate in their families history,” said Tony Swan, Principal of Klamath Union High School. “There are seniors that represent the first graduate to go on to college in their families history. There are many seniors who will represent KU and Klamath Falls and will next attend two and four year colleges. We had two exchange students come to us this year from Germany and Brazil - and two graduates who will soon go on rotary exchanges in Belgium and Brazil.”
Swan continues, “One graduate each will enter the US Air Force Academy, the Marines, the Coast Guard and the Navy. Several graduates will directly enter the workforce locally and across this great nation. As well as Oregon, several KU seniors will be continuing [education in] schools in Washington, Hawaii, Idaho, California, and New Mexico. This years senior class has been awarded nearly one million dollars in scholarships and grants. To these, and all KU seniors, you make us proud.”
