Goose 2 Fire burns 150 acres and growing in Modoc County [UPDATED]

Forest, state and local fire crews and 13 aircraft are on scene at the Goose 2 Fire that can be seen from Highway 395 north of Sugar Hill in Modoc County, California, approximately 6 miles south of the Oregon-California border. At last report the fire is 100 acres with no structures threatened. Officials are asking bystanders to please avoid County Road 9 and Fandango Pass Road as there is heavy fire traffic in the area.
