Field trip to examine local geology
/KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A field trip to examine geologic formations north of Klamath Falls will be offered Saturday, Oct. 14, by the Klamath County Museum.
The outing will involve a strenuous walk over difficult terrain.
“We’ll be looking at a series of formations that vividly illustrate the volcanic and faulting activity that has shaped the landscape of our region,” said museum manager Todd Kepple. “We’ll be going to a couple of spots that are difficult to access, so this outing is recommended for people who are pretty steady on their feet.”
