Mazama, Hosanna Christian, Lost River and Lakeview are all in the OSAA Quarterfinals this weekend. The Vikings, Raiders and Honkers will all be on the road facing a set of challenging tough opponents. The Lions will play the Adrian Antelopes at home. But no matter where the teams play, they all will be playing for a chance to move one step closer to the state championship.

In the 4A, across the bracket, the best teams of the regular season are facing off in the Quarterfinals.

The fifth seed Mazama Vikings will travel to Coos Bay to face the fourth seed Marshfield Pirates. Both teams had a similar regular season schedule and match up evenly. The Pirates ended the regular season with a record of 8-1. The Vikings completed their regular season 7-1. Both teams faced Henley, Klamath Union and Marist in the regular season and both the Vikings and Pirates were victorious in each of those match-ups.

“We feel confident, says Mazama Head Coach, Vic Lease. “We have had an outstanding week of preparation.“

The game is scheduled for a 7:30 PM kickoff from Marshfield High School in Coos Bay, Friday. You can listen to the game on the radio at 1240AM the Winner in Klamath Falls or streaming live on RivalBlitz.com.

The 2A playoffs include two area teams, eighth seed Lakeview (5-4) and eleventh seed Lost River (6-3). Both are on the road this Saturday. Lakeview will face the first seed Monroe Dragons (9-1) at 1:00 PM Monroe. Lost River will face the third seed Neh-Kah-Nie Pirates (8-1) at 1:00 PM in Rockaway Beach.

RivalBlitz.com will be streaming the Lakeview game live and Kix96 will cover the radio broadcast for Lost River.

The fourth seed Hosanna Christian Lions (8-0) are the only team to play at home this weekend. The Lions will host the fifth seed Adrian Antelope (7-3) Saturday. Going undefeated, Hosanna has dominated opponents in the regular season. Outscoring teams by as much as 60-points. The biggest challenge came in week 2 against North Douglas where the Lions squeaked out a victory by just 2-points.  Adrian has had a tougher season. They have had three losses coming at the hands of Crane, Wallowa and Lyle (WA).

Hosanna will host Adrian Saturday with a 1:00 PM kickoff from Hosanna Christian Academy. RivalBlitz.com will be streaming the game live. According to OSAA, radio coverage is not scheduled for this matchup.

It is crunch time for these teams. Win and move on to the neutral site semi-final games. Lose and the season is over.
