BLM Oregon's first GeoTour attracts more than 300 people to kickoff event

CHRISTMAS VALLEY, Ore. - The Christmas Valley Back Country Byway GeoTour officially launched June 30, 2022. Over the fourth of July weekend, approximately 300 people, both experienced and new geocachers traveled to North Lake County, Oregon, to try and complete the 28 cache GeoTour. Some dedicated geocachers, traveled from as far away as Sacramento, CA, to complete the 26 required caches.

Ranger-Led Showshoe Walks to start this weekend

CRATER LAKE, Ore – Crater Lake National Park staff is pleased to announce our popular ranger-guided snowshoe walks begin this weekend for the 2019-20 winter season.  The walks take place on Saturdays, Sundays, and most holidays (except December 25) from December 7 through April 26.  They will also be offered daily from December 26 through January 5 and from March 20 through March 29.  Snowshoes are provided free of charge and no previous snowshoeing experience is necessary.

Crater Lake, Ore. – Crater Lake National Park has announced that the popular ranger-guided snowshoe walks are about to begin for the 2018-19 winter season.
