Garrett Michael Petersen was born on April 11, 1987 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Jamie Miller and Steve Petersen. Garrett walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 7, 2018 at the age of 31. Garrett was preceded in death by his Grandmother Rosemary Petersen, Uncle Richie Walters and Aunt Val Knoll.
Garrett is survived by his loving girlfriend of seventeen years, Kayla Hahn, step-mother Jody Petersen, siblings Shasta Petersen, Sierra Miller, Jace and Kaden Miller, Travis and Lance Hardy, Grandparents Lynn and Ernie Manfull and Jim Petersen, Kayla’s parents Ron and Cathy Hahn and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Garrett joked about living at Klamath Community College where he was a full-time student, tutor and teacher’s aide. He was consistently on the Presidents List and held the position of Vice-President within the student leadership government counsel. He was an aspiring Software Engineer with many goals in life he was actively pursuing. Garrett loved his turbo Honda, video games and playing Metallica and Slayer songs on the guitar.
