Tickets: $15, Student/Senior $10

LIVE performance and Streaming option. Themed as “Awakening Hills,” the concert is a collection of compositions that according to Izzett were within the range of capability of performance with limited in-person rehearsals. Instead, band members utilized a program called SmartMusic to virtually rehearse once the potential of performing again became viable.

The performance will include a variety of pieces selected by Izzett, ranging from a Souza march to a hymn to even a hybrid multimedia experience with music set to footage of the iconic silent film “The General” by Buster Keaton – filmed in Oregon and routinely listed among the greatest films ever made.

Ragland Film Series: EASTER IN ART-Exhibition on Screen" (film)

7:00 PM, Friday, April 2
Tickets: $10

The story of Christ’s death and resurrection has dominated western culture for the past 2000 years. It is perhaps the most significant historical event of all time, as recounted by the gospels but, equally, as depicted by the greatest artists in history. From the triumphant to the savage, the ethereal to the tactile, some of western civilization’s greatest artworks focus on this pivotal moment.

This beautifully crafted film explores the Easter story as depicted in art, from the time of the early Christians to the present day. Shot on location in Jerusalem, United States and throughout Europe, the film explores the different ways artists have depicted the Easter story through the ages and thus depicts the history of us all.
