Derrick “DJ” Rowley is our guest on episode #66 of Ask Klamath. Derrick is the Fair Manager of the Klamath County Fairgrounds, In this episode, we chat with DJ about the current status of the fairgrounds, the future of the fairgrounds (including the 2021 fair), fairgrounds funding & measure 18-120, and we take your questions live.


About Derrick “DJ” Rowley
DJ is the newly appointed manager of the Klamath County Event Center and Fairgrounds. He has been with the facility for over 14 years and before being named the Manager in 2020, he worked his way up the ladder in the following positions - Maintenance Worker and Maintenance Foreman. He has played a key role in all aspects of the facilities maintenance and upkeep, event set-up and support, as well as leading and mentoring other employees at the Event Center/Fairgrounds.

DJ was born to parents Rick and Kim Rowley, growing up in Ft. Worth Texas. He moved with his family to Klamath Falls in the summer of 1992. Following their move to Klamath Falls, DJ attended Henley High School and was an Eagle Scout. Since High School, he received his Associate’s Degree in Business from Klamath Community College in June of 2017. DJ met Cyndi McCanna in 2005, marrying in 2011 and they have two children. DJ also enjoys boating, hunting, and family gatherings.
