Basin Adventures: Mike’s Fieldhouse

When the weather outside gets cold athletes head inside to practice and workout. One of those locations is Mikes Fieldhouse, located at the Steens Sports Park in Klamath Falls.
Basin Adventures is brought to you by the Klamath Falls KOA, your adventure hub of the Klamath Basin.
Formally known as the Michael L. Wendt Memorial Fieldhouse - Sports and Community Center, Mike’s Fieldhouse is a state-of-the-art 60,000 square foot indoor multi-purpose facility with an Astro-Turf field. For most of the year, the Fieldhouse is divided into 2 enclosed arenas with a practice area in the back of the building.
Mike's also has a limited-service concession stand, male and female locker rooms with showers, staff office and Board Room, and a second-floor storage area. The 4 outdoor soccer fields are also maintained and operated by Mike's Fieldhouse.
Mike's Fieldhouse is home to Basin United Soccer Club and serves as the Main Office for the Club.
During the Fall and Spring Season you will see hundreds and hundreds of local youth participating in the largest youth sport in the Basin, with a couple thousand of their friends and family on the sidelines to watch them play.
Mike's Fieldhouse also manages several seasonal sport programs including, Adult Softball, Adult Kickball, Dodgeball, Youth Arena Flag Football, and numerous Pay-As-You-Play sport options inside the facility during the Winter.
Mike's is also leading the community in developing non-traditional recreational activities, such as Knockerball, Archery Tag, Cornhole, and so much more. We have several drop-in style programs and we are always open to suggestions on new programs to add. Mike's also hosts the Oregon Tech Men and Women's Soccer Program, as well as the Baseball and Softball Programs for Winter Training.
Some of the current activities on the schedule include:
- Adult Soccer League – Monday & Wednesday January 15 to March 14
- Youth Arena Flag Football – Practice Starts January 22
- Knockerball – Thursdays thru March 29th
- Archery Tag – Thursdays thru March 29th
- Adult Drop in Volleyball – Monday & Wednesday thru March 28th
- Youth Drop in Soccer – Monday & Tuesday thru March 27th
- Adult Drop in Soccer – Tuesday & Thursday thru March 29th
- Youth Soccer Development – Monday & Tuesday starting January 15
Besides sports Mikes Fieldhouse will play host to Winter Jam. A winter long entertainment series, that includes: live music, games, food and more. Each month will feature a different local band for live music. Cost is just $5 per person or buy 4 tickets and get the 5th free.
