The following is a press release from Cascade Health Alliance.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Bi-Mart, a longtime prescription provider for more than 1,000 Cascade Health Alliance members, will close most of its pharmacies and transfer services to Walgreens in January.

Pharmaceutical customers should check with their insurance provider to learn about any potential changes in prescription coverage.

Pharmaceutical customers who are members of the Cascade Health Alliance (CHA) health plan must select a new pharmacy by January 10, 2022. CHA does not cover medications filled at Walgreens but provides alternatives for members on its website (kfnews.org/covered-68f73e).

“It’s crucial for us that our members do not have gaps in care or receiving medication,” says CHA CEO Tayo Akins.

“This is why we have a network of providers who can help us make sure our members do not miss a prescription. Our goal is always to ensure the success of our members’ health while building a strong community. We will make every effort we need to ensure our members’ care is not interrupted,” Akins added.

CHA members who do not have internet access can call the organization to get additional help finding a new pharmacy. They can also contact their medical provider to ensure their future prescriptions route to a participating pharmacy.

Impacted members will be notified by mail and text by CHA and Bi-Mart.
