Press release from the Klamath County District Attorneys Office.

On March 26, 2019 Corey Fanning entered pleas to two counts of Attempted Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, one count of Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree and one count of Attempted Rape in the First Degree.  These charges stem from his sexual abuse of a juvenile female which began sometime earlier than January 1, 2011, when she was only 11-yrs old.  The last incident of abuse ended sometime in 2014, when she was 14 years old.

The victim was able to clearly identify at least seven (7) separate instances of abuse, but states that the abuse was frequent enough that specific instances blended together in her memory.

The Honorable Judge Roxanne Osborne sentenced the defendant to 120-months in the legal and physical custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections.  His period of post-prison supervision will be ten years, less any time that he serves.   The defendant is also required to register as a sex offender, and is prohibited from having further contact with the victim.
