KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - During the October 12, 2020, meeting of the Klamath Falls City Schools, the firm of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) of Schaumburg, Illinois was selected to lead the superintendent search to replace retiring superintendent, Dr. Paul Hillyer.

HYA is a network of independent education consultants across the nation. Since 1987, HYA has provided support for education leaders to employ school executives, address issues related to student performance, and support aspects of school district operations.

HYA serves school systems across the nation, large and small, urban and rural. HYA Associates are located all across the country to conveniently serve clients with a local focus, but with national reach.

With a proven track record, deep roots in executive search and leadership development, sector knowledge to drive strategic planning, and a national lens, HYA partners with schools and their leaders to improve education.

As the search moves forward, the Board of Education will collaborate with HYA to engage and meet with constituent groups including community leaders, parents, students, and staff. These focus groups will provide information and insight into the development of the leadership profile, which will include desired characteristics and attributes for the next leader. The board encourages local constituents to reach out to them regarding opportunities to provide input through participation in focus groups, surveys, etc.
