Klamath County reaches 200th positive COVID-19 case

It took 109-days to reach the first 100 positive cases in Klamath County and an additional 41-days to reach 200 cases.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Klamath County Public Health (KCPH) officials report four new cases of COVID-19 in the community making the weekly total six. It’s been 150 days since the first case in Klamath County and to date, there have been 200 local cases.

As of this morning, 7,875 tests have been processed for Klamath County.

Data from KCPH shows that it took 109-days to reach the first 100 cases in Klamath County and only an additional 41-days to reach 200 cases.

To protect yourself:

  • Keep your distance by maintaining six feet of social or physical distancing between yourself and others.

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, utilizing hand sanitizer when washing facilities are not available.

  • Sanitize surfaces that are often touched.

  • Avoid gatherings of any size where social or physical distancing is not possible.

To protect others around you:

  • Cover coughs and sneezes.

  • Stay home when sick.

  • Wear a clean mask in public spaces, including outdoors when six feet of social distance cannot be maintained.
