Klamath Falls man sentenced to 450-months for sex abuse of two minors

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On November 16, 2021, the Honorable Judge Marci Adkisson sentenced Thomas Grigsby to the care, custody, and control of the Oregon Department of Correction for a period of 450-months, with post-prison supervision continuing for his entire life, based on his convictions for two counts of Sodomy in the 1st degree and four counts of Sex Abuse in the 1st Degree. 

These charges stem from Grigsby’s abuse of two juveniles, during an 11-year period starting in 2006 and continuing until 2017.

“As District Attorney, I am proud of the team that brought justice for these individuals who were abused and their trust violated as children,” said Klamath County District Attorney, Eve Costello.

“Detective Labeads Yahwhee with the Klamath Falls Police Department did a professional and detailed initial investigation. CARES provided medical services and expert testimony critical to the prosecution.

“Detective Shasta Duval with the Klamath County Sheriff’s office provided follow-up investigation that was critical for the progress of the case. 

“Klamath County District Attorney Special Agent Britnee Elliott coordinated witnesses, followed up on details, and ensured there were no factual errors or missing evidence.  

“And Deputy DA Cole Chase provided a professional and dedicated presentation during the three-day trial that led to the conviction.

“Also, Rosie Salazar, the Victims Assistant, worked closely with the victims providing them the guidance and support they needed during the arduous process.”

The Oregon Department of Corrections calculates Grigsby’s earliest possible release date as September 7, 2064.
