CHILOQUIN, Ore. - The Klamath Tribal Council, after much deliberation and consultation with the Incident Management Team and our Emergency Manager, has decided to cancel all normal activities for the upcoming 34th Annual Klamath Tribes Restoration Celebration.

The celebration is normally held on the 4th full weekend in August. This year’s events would have been held August 21-23, 2020.

Instead, the Klamath Tribes are sponsoring a virtual powwow that is being coordinated by Lahoma Schonchin. The powwow and other virtual events are in the planning stages and soon more information will be released.

“We are very sorry we will not be able to gather for this annual celebration. However, we remain committed to our members and the safety of this community,” said the Klamath Tribes in an email announcement.

For more information regarding the Virtual Powwow contact Lahoma Schonchin at lajoskonchis@gmail.com or by phone (541)-539-7359.
