KPDRA Approves payment assistance programs

The following is a press release from the Klamath Water Users Association.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Klamath Project Drought Response Agency (KPDRA) provided two Drought Relief Programs for Klamath Project Irrigators. The 2021 No-Irrigation Program funded by the US Bureau of Reclamation and the 2021 CARES Act Assistance Program funded by the US Department of Agriculture.

2021 CARES Act Assistance Program Update:
The KPDRA Board has authorized payment on the approved 2021 CARES Act Assistance Program Applications at $116 per approved acre. The KPDRA anticipates that checks will be mailed out by December 17, 2021.

2021 No Irrigation Program Update:
The KPDRA Board has also authorized payment on approved 2021 No Irrigation Program Applications at $450 per approved acre. The KPDRA anticipates that checks will be mailed out during the first week of January 2022.
