Naturescaping workshop offered

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Tips for using native plants in landscaping in the Klamath Basin will be presented in a workshop slated for Saturday, April 9. The naturescaping workshop will run from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Klamath County Museum, and will include classroom instruction and hands-on activity.

The workshop is sponsored by the Klamath Basin Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon.

A donation of $15 is requested, and space is limited. To register for the workshop, contact the museum at (541) 882-1000.

Featured presenter will be Rick Martinson, co-owner of WinterCreek Restoration & Nursery in Bend.

Martinson’s specialty is the adaptive physiology of xerophytic native plants that can be used in urban landscapes. His work has received national recognition for an ecology-based approach to landscape design and construction.
