Oregon Tech and No. 21 Southern Oregon Play to Scoreless Draw

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech faced off with rival and No. 21 nationally ranked Southern Oregon University in the opening game of Cascade Conference play on Saturday afternoon, with the match ending in a draw after three Tech shots on goal were stopped short in overtime.

Oregon Tech put 7 of 14 shots on goal in the game. These seven shots were split between six Owls, with Salyna Blue leading the way. The Raiders had 5 of 11 shots on target.

Southern Oregon dominated in the second period, out-shooting the Owls 8-5. Tech only allowed one SOU shot in the two overtimes with the Hooter having three of five shots on frame.

Both goal keepers had great afternoons with SOU's Jessie Selby collecting seven saves facing 14 total shots while Tech's Keeper Jenna Stiehr collected 5 saves facing 11 shots.

The Lady Owls will continue CCC play next weekend, playing the University of Providence at 1:00 PM on Friday and Carroll College at the same time Saturday, with both games taking place at home.
