Owls Sweep CCC Baseball Weekly Honors

La Grande, Ore. – Oregon Tech's Doug Molzahn and Josh Kallstrom received Cascade Collegiate Pitcher and Player of the Week Honors respectively as announced by the conference office today.
 
Molzahn, a junior from Coos Bay, Oregon, struck out nine batters, over eight innings giving up only one run leading OIT past Simpson University 17-4. Molzahn improved to 2-1 on the season for the Hustlin' Owls.
 
Kallstrom, a junior 1B from Ephrata, Wash., continues to swing a hot bat for the Owls, picking up seven more hits this weekend with 4-doubles, 5-RBI, a home run and he scored 4-runs. He had a slugging percentage of .875 while pushing his season average up to .525 leading the Owls to three wins in four games this past weekend.
 
The Owls are now 6-6 on the year and will travel to Lancaster, California to play Antelope Valley next Saturday and Sunday.
