SALEM, Ore. — State Representative E. Werner Reschke (R-Klamath Falls) has been appointed by Speaker of the House to serve as Vice-Chair of House Revenue Committee during the 2020 Legislative Short Session. This allows him to play a leadership role on a committee he currently serves on. Rep. Reschke remains a member of the Water Committee and the Energy and Environment Committee.

“I am honored to play this increased role of shaping tax policy in the upcoming session,” said Rep. Reschke. “As Vice-Chair of Revenue, I will be an advocate for tax reforms that benefit Oregon families and encourage businesses to come to and expand in our great state. I will work with my colleagues to reject unnecessary tax increases.”

“As a member of Energy & Environment Committee my top priority will be defending our rural communities from the detrimental Cap and Trade bills, as well as unnecessary changes to Oregon’s landmark Forest Practices Act.”

“I look forward to serving on these committees in the February legislative session,” said Rep. Reschke.

The 2020 Legislative Short Session runs February 3-March 8, 2020.

House District 56 includes Oregonians in southern Klamath and Lake Counties.
