RRT Announces auditions for 'Best of the Pack Rats Christmas'

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Ross Ragland Theater announces auditions for Best of the Pack Rats Christmas, a new holiday show comprised of all the favorite moments from past seasons. Created and written by Dan Neubauer with Music Direction by Dan Crenshaw, the production is directed by Executive Director Scott Mohon with choreography by Samantha Burris.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, October 18 at 2:00pm in the Honzel Studio in the Ragland’s Cultural Center at 218 N 7th Street in downtown Klamath Falls.

The musical comedy performances are scheduled on December 10, 11, & 12, 2020 at 7:30pm in the Ross Ragland Theater.

About the Show
Welcome back the intrepid group of artists as they light the joy in your heart using moaners, groaners, and puns with the most beautiful holiday music as their banner. This group is sure to delight crowds in this adult cocktail show.

Audition Registration begins at 5:30pm.

Audition Requirements
All female roles are open. This is a musical and everyone will be required to sing 32 bars from a song, participate in the dance/movement part of the audition and reading from the script. Please bring sheet music or CD/digital playback for the singing part of the audition and comfortable clothing and shoes you can move in. NO FLIP FLOPS or SANDALS. An accompanist and CD player/Plug-In will be provided. You must have sheet music or CD to audition.

Audition Procedures
Due to COVID19, we ask that you adhere to the following procedures: 1) only those auditioning should enter the facility, no guests; 2) if you do not feel well, stay home; 3) you must wear a mask or face shield when you enter the facility; 4) practice 6 feet of physical distancing; 5) avoid physical contact; 6) wash your hands and don’t touch your face. Hand washing and sanitizing stations are located throughout the facility.

Call Backs
Select individuals from the audition may be asked to stay on the same night for a call back audition. You may be asked to sing selections from the show. If you are not asked to attend the callbacks, it does not necessarily mean you will not be cast in the show.

Notification of Cast List: Roles will be offered by Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

Casting Requirements
At least 3 women. The number of cast members may be determined by the audition process. This is an ensemble cast with featured roles.

Rehearsals begin Monday, November 2nd.
Anticipated rehearsals are Monday - Thursday 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm All potential conflicts should be cleared for rehearsal and performance days. If they cannot be cleared, please note any potential conflicts at the audition during registration. A detailed schedule, with dates and times and those REQUIRED to be at rehearsals, will be provided throughout the rehearsal process. However, please mark these dates on your schedule accordingly and make every arrangement necessary to attend all rehearsals and performances. Due to the requirements of this, and all productions, no one can be excused from any technical rehearsal or performance. If potential conflicts arise prior to rehearsals beginning – actors are asked to contact their stage manager immediately. If potential conflicts arise during the rehearsal process – you will notify your stage manager. The success of the production is impacted by the great attendance, discipline and accountability of all cast and crew at all scheduled rehearsals and performances

Technical Rehearsals
Production week, begin Sunday, December 6th - All cast members are required to be at all technical rehearsals.
