The Show

This production will be a concert review with two onstage pianos, performing songs and medleys from the shows that have been performed as community productions at the Ross Ragland Theater since its doors opened in 1989. Musical styles will vary, from classic musicals like The Music Man and The Sound of Music, to contemporary works, such as Footloose and Shrek the Musical. As a concert, the production will have minimal movement (no major dancing) but cast members will need to be able to autonomously make timely entrances and exits, as well as the ability to “sell a song”.

Casting Requirements

Looking for 2-4 men, and 4-6 women (8 performers, total). Because this will be a review show, it will be built around the cast, to some extent. All must be soloists, who can also individually maintain harmonies in a chorus. Storytelling is essential.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will begin Monday, September 14th. Anticipated rehearsals are Monday-Thursday 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

All potential conflicts should be cleared for rehearsal and performance days. If they cannot be cleared, please note any potential conflicts at the audition during registration. A detailed schedule, with dates and times and those required to be at rehearsals, will be provided throughout the rehearsal process.
