KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Ross Ragland Theater welcomes a fall production of "What About Dan?!" Directed by Dan Neubauer with Music Direction by Dan Crenshaw, Choreography by Samantha Burris and Stage Management by Tyler Dahl. Performances will be held on September 10, 11, & 12, 2020 at 7:30pm in the Ross Ragland Theater.

This musical comedy is set during the depression in the mythical town of Kalamity Flats. The Robert Ragsdale Theater is in financial ruin and the richest man in town is looking to buy it on the cheap and make it into a shopping center. Dan Bauer steps up and refuses to allow this to happen. Sure he may be an unsavory alcoholic... well you get the idea. He is allowed to proceed, because no one has faith in him. Through sheer luck and fate he puts together a radio show to raise funds. Featuring songs of a bygone era like “It Had To Be You” and “Fascinating Rhythm”. The attendance is not enough, then the telephone starts ringing and donations come in. Still the amount is short. The theater is doomed, or does the accompanist Dan Cresswell, and the Sapphire Sisters, save the day!

The staging of the production during rehearsals and performances follow the suggested guidelines for physical distancing and providing a clean and safe environment for the performers and technicians on stage and back of stage. Executive Director Scott Mohon stated, “This is an industry where the show must go on and we have created a production to make that happen. This is an incredibly talented group of people who are going above and beyond to build an experience for our community that allows us to safely gather and experience theater the way it meant to be experienced – LIVE”.

The Ragland’s staff and volunteers continue to ensure patrons are welcomed back to the theater and into a safe and clean environment according to COVID19 state and federal guidelines. Mohon added, “We will continue to set high standards and protocols in following the suggested and mandated guidelines as the health and safety of anyone who enters the Ragland facility is our utmost priority.”
