Sprague River man charged with Attempted Murder and Kidnapping

The following is a press release from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On October 8, 2022, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 32000 block Klamath Forest Dr near Sprague River, OR on a report of menacing. Upon arrival, deputies were initially unable to locate the victim.

The investigation revealed one victim reported being kidnapped and shot at.

The responsible person was later identified as Clinton Edward Bimemiller, age 51. An additional victim also reported that Bimemiller shot at them. 

On October 13, 2022, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies and members of the Special Response Team (SRT) responded to the address on Klamath Forest Dr. near Sprague River to serve a search warrant for the weapon used as well as an arrest warrant for Bimemiller.

Bimemiller was taken into custody without incident and is lodged at the Klamath County Jail on the following initial charges: 

  • Attempted Murder x3 

  • Kidnap II 

  • Menacing x2 

  • Unlawful Use of a Weapon 

  • Pointing a Firearm at another 

  • Criminal Mischief II 

In addition, Charles Ross Caniglia was taken into custody on charges related to stolen vehicles recovered. Caniglia is lodged at the Klamath County Jail on the following initial charges - Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle x4
