Both teams entered with a 23-8 record and a split regular-season series. The game was close until the end, when the Warriors outscored Tech 27-12 sending them to the NAIA National Tournament thanks to a 76-64 win. Corban clinches the CCC's second automatic berth in the national tournament due to top-seeded Eastern Oregon also winning in the other CCC semifinal.
