KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –Students were joined by family and friends at their homes as Oregon Institute of Technology virtually celebrated the Class of 2021 Saturday, June 12. Among the 848 individuals, some who received multiple degrees, are graduates of the inaugural Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity.

Read MoreThis coming fall marks the introduction of Oregon’s first Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity, offered by Oregon Institute of Technology, “Oregon Tech.” First announced in January, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) approved the degree for fall 2019 enrollment at both Klamath Falls and Portland-Metro campuses.

Campus leaders shared that after a detailed investigation by internal staff and external forensic experts, there is no evidence that any information was visible or was taken as a result of the breach of an isolated server used for teaching. Still, out of an abundance of caution, the university is offering credit bureau monitoring to the 770 people potentially impacted who had personally identifiable information on the server.
