KINGSLEY FIELD - The 173rd Fighter Wing constructed a new aircraft tail display July 2, 2020, which originated as the right vertical stabilizer of the Oregon Air National Guard 75th Anniversary F-15 Eagle heritage aircraft, tail number 79-041.

Kingsley Field honors namesake Lt. David R. Kingsley with new flagship [VIDEO]

The 173rd Fighter Wing at Kingsley Field sought to honor its namesake, 2nd Lt. David R. Kingsley, by unveiling an aircraft painted in memory of his sacrifice 75 years ago, Jan. 10, 2019. Dubbed the Heritage Jet, paint crews worked to include items directly drawn from Kingsley’s time in WWII where he was a bombardier on the crew of a B-17 bomber.
