Students Give More than 500 Hours to Help Friends of the Children

High school students gave 525 hours helping at the Friends of the Children annual Friend Raiser fundraiser in May.

More than 600 community guests attended the event that raised about 30 percent of the annual operating budget for the mentoring program. Friends of the Children provides intentional oneon-one support for program youth from a salaried, professional mentor, from
kindergarten through high school graduation – 12 ½ years, no matter what.
