Three teens injured in motor vehicle crash

The following is a press release from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On Monday, January 17, 2022, at approximately 12:45 AM Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the area of milepost 4 on Cross Rd south of Klamath Falls, for a report of a single-vehicle crash with significant injuries.

Upon their arrival deputies, along with Fire & EMS personnel from Klamath County Fire District 1 and Kingsley Fire, discovered a late model Jeep Cherokee which left the road and rolled several times. The driver and two passengers had all been ejected, the two passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to SkyLakes Medical Center for treatment. The driver was initially treated at SkyLakes and then transferred to OHSU with more serious injuries.

The names of all three individuals are being withheld as they are juveniles.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be significant factors. The investigation continues into both the crash as well as how the juveniles obtained alcohol.
