KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Street detours for the medical and college community are discouraging, yet construction on the new roundabout at the top of Campus Drive at Daggett Avenue is progressing well and is expected to open by the end of September.

Workers have been installing the roundabout throughout the summer and are on schedule to open the project to traffic later this month.

This will be the second roundabout in Klamath Falls. The first was installed at the intersection of Homedale Road and the South Side Expressway in 2021.

The roundabout is large with wide lanes. It will accommodate emergency vehicles and the local traffic effectively. The traffic circle will include a center area for use by large trucks needing a little extra room to navigate safely.

Representatives from Sky Lakes Medical Center are coordinating the installation of a sculpture in the center of the traffic circle. However, details of the art piece are not yet available.
