KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - At approximately 8:43 AM, Saturday, December 12, 2020, three Klamath Falls City Police patrol vehicles and one Klamath County Fire District 1 engine were hit by two Commercial Motor Vehicles on US Highway 97.

The first responders had been investigating a motor vehicle crash between a semi-truck and an SUV near Dan O’Brien Way.

All vehicles were parked along the side of Highway 97; when two additional semi-trucks traveling southbound crashed into the parked vehicles.

According to the Oregon State Police, the first semi collided with one patrol car and struck the fire engine, and further failed to stop at the accident scene. The second semi collided with all three patrol vehicles and the fire engine but remained on scene.

No injuries were reported regarding either crash.

As of the time of this article, the semi-truck that fled the scene has not been located.
