At approximately 2:00 AM on August 3, Klamath County 9-1-1 received a call from 1718 Wall Street in Klamath Falls.  The reporting party was unable to provide significant details but indicated that someone was in need of medical attention. 

EMTs and officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department responded to the call.

KF Man arrested & charged following downtown stabbing

On June 30, 2019, at approximately 8:10 p.m., officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department responded to the 600 block of Main Street after receiving a report of a stabbing.  Upon arrival, officers located a male victim with knife wounds.  The male victim was transported to Sky Lakes Medical Center for treatment where he is listed in critical condition.

In the early morning hours of March 12, Klamath Falls Police Officers responded to a call of a domestic violence assault in the 800 block of Mt. Whitney Street. A 43-year-old female victim and co-habitant of Michael Donnel Wilson, 32, made a call to Klamath County 9-1-1. She was found to be severely beaten and displayed facial injuries and was strangled during the assault.

On February 21, 2019, officers with the Klamath Falls Police Department conducted a traffic stop with a California plated SUV on Highway 97, south of Dan O'Brien Way. During the Stop, officers developed a concern that the occupants were transporting methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Officers later gained consent to search the car for illegal drugs.

Main.  Officers arrived on scene and determined Brenda Ann Tobin was driving a Ford F350 east on South 6th Street and turned left, just east of E. Main Street directly in the path of two motorcycles approaching from the opposite direction.

Accepting Applications for Citizen’s Academy

The Klamath Falls Police Department is now accepting applications for its 12th CITIZEN’S ACADEMY.  The Citizen’s Academy was created to provide citizens with an overview of police operations, create opportunities for citizens to know their police officers, and strengthen relationships.  Participants will interact and learn from veteran police officers in a classroom environment.  The courses will provide citizens with knowledge of criminal laws, how laws are enforced locally, and how crimes are processed through the judicial system.
