BINET Investigation leads to meth dealer arrest

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On Tuesday, April 25, following an investigation from members of the Basin Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (BINET), a Klamath Falls man was arrested on multiple charges related to the manufacturing and distribution of methamphetamine.

An officer from the Klamath Falls Police Department (KFPD) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the direction of BINET. The driver, Theodore Denton, 61, was contacted. Three pounds of methamphetamine and over $2000 in cash were located inside the vehicle.

The traffic stop led to a search warrant of Denton’s residence in the 3700 block of Bisbee Street.

At the residence, BINET Detectives located an additional a quarter pound of meth, nineteen firearms - two of which had been reported stolen, and another $800 in cash.

A stolen four-wheeler was also recovered at the residence.

Denton was lodged at the Klamath County Jail on charges of:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

  • Delivery of a Controlled Substance

  • Manufacture of a Controlled Substance

  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm

  • Possession of Stolen Property

  • Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

The BINET investigation included detectives from KFPD, Oregon State Police, and an intel analyst from the Oregon National Guard.
