KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Junior Seth Erickson set a career high on Friday night at Danny Miles Court, scoring 27 points to lead No. 12 Oregon Tech (10-2 CCC, 19-5) past Warner Pacific University (5-6 CCC, 13-8) 80-64.

The Owls took an early lead in the first half, outscoring the Knights 49-25 and followed a 12-2 run with a 12-0 run that featured three consecutive three-pointers from Erickson, who ended the night 5-for-10 from long range.

Freshman Kaison Faust followed Erickson, tallying 11 points for OIT, while sophomore Cal Stueve and junior Mitchell Fink added eight each.

The NAIA's leader in assists, Fink dished out six more to lead Tech to a 18-6 advantage, with junior Tyler Hieb contributed eight rebounds to their 48-31 rebounding edge.

Warner Pacific fared better in the second half, outscoring the Hustlin' Owls 39-31 with the help of a 10-2 run, but were not able to generate enough points to take a lead.

Khiry Williams led WPU's effort with 16 points, while Corey Thomas followed close behind at 14.

The Knights main struggle was from long range, scoring only 5 out of 17 three-pointers while OIT took 10-for-25, a 40% shooting average.

Warner Pacific forced 16 turnovers while only committing 10 of their own and capitalized off of Tech's mistakes to take a 19-16 edge in points off turnovers. They also led 48-28 from their bench.

The Hustlin' Owls will continue their home-stand this weekend, playing Multnomah on Saturday and rival Southern Oregon University on Tuesday, with both games taking place at 7:30 pm at Danny Miles Court. Saturday also marks Oregon Tech's 10th Annual Pinkout event to raise awareness for cancer, with the first 1,000 fans receiving a free Pinkout t-shirt.
