Fire Weather Watch issued for Tuesday

A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for Fire Weather Zone OR624 and CA285.

The National Weather Service in Medford, Oregon has issued a Fire Weather, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening for strong gusty winds with low relative humidity for Fire Weather Zones OR624 and CA285 (Sections of Klamath, Lake and Modoc Counties, Fremont-Winema NF and the Modoc NF).

Impacts
Gusty southwest winds, low humidity, and dry fuels will likely contribute to a significant spread of any new or existing fires.

Affected area
Southeast corner of Klamath County east of Bonanza and Bly. Southwest corner of Lake County south of Paisley. Modoc County with the exception of Surprise Valley. Fremont Winema National Forest and Modoc National Forest.

Wind
Southwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

Humidity
Minimum humidities around 10 to 13 percent
