Grand Jury indicted a Klamath Falls man on Murder and Manslaughter

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Klamath County Grand Jury had indicted Klamath Falls resident Sean Brazil-Gates, 30, on charges of Murder and Manslaughter stemming from a double homicide in Fairview Park, November 2019.

Thursday afternoon, Detectives from the Klamath Falls Police Department and Officers from Klamath County Parole and Probation arrested Brazil-Gates on an outstanding warrant for murder.

Since 2019, a detailed investigation into the Fairview Park homicide had been lead by Sgt. Ed Forman of the Klamath Falls Police Department. Sgt. Foreman with the assistance of the Oregon State Police Crime Lab was able to develop significant information that lead to the charges against Brazil-Gates. 

Additionally, information and witness statements assisted in pushing this case forward. 

Brazil-Gates was taken into custody without incident at the Klamath County Parole and Probation Office and was lodged at the Klamath County Jail on the following charges:

  • Murder I

  • Manslaughter I

  • Unlawful Use of a Weapon

  • Felon in Possession of a Weapon

  • Perjury

This incident remains under investigation.
