SHERIFF: Illegal Marijuana Disruption Effort

Press Release from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office

On Tuesday (10/02/18) members of the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office contacted a residence at 31146 Mountain Lakes Drive, Rocky Point, OR. A tip had been received of a possible illegal marijuana grow operation.

Deputies located a large green house containing “99” marijuana plants. Since the residence was legally allowed “4” plants for recreational purposes, “96” plants were seized, evidence samples were taken for prosecution purposes, and the rest was destroyed.

Robert Lee Bruggman (age 29) was charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance – Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana.

Hopefully marijuana growers will soon realize that growing marijuana in illegal quantities leads to criminal charges and destruction of their illegally produced product.

There is an option to grow legal amounts of marijuana in Klamath County. If people would just do that, they would not be subject to criminal charges.
