Museum Offers Free Admission Day, Tours

The Klamath County Museum will offer free admission and “back room” tours on Wednesday, Oct. 17, in celebration of Klamath County’s birthday.

Klamath County was established as a new Oregon county on Oct. 17, 1882, having been partitioned from Lake County.

Special museum hours on Wednesday will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tours of the museum’s archive conservation spaces and storage rooms will be offered at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Museum Offers Programs for Adventure This Week

The Klamath County Museum is offering several events this week for adventure in the Klamath Basin. Starting with the Pollinator Celebration on June 22nd and continuing with a wildflower walk, backroom tour, and an astronomy event on June 23rd. On June 24th the Museum is offering a living history tour of the Bonanza Cemetery.
