KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. The Bureau of Reclamation announced the beginning of flood control operations on the Upper Klamath Lake with increased releases continuing today.  Kingsley Field Firefighter Claims Triathlon Title in First Klamath Falls Adventure Race

Klamath Falls, OR. — Nearly 50 triathletes competed in a new adventure race held Saturday morning at Veterans Park in Klamath Falls, which included nearly 10.5 miles of competition. Clocking an impressive time of one hour, seven minutes and 14 seconds, local Kingsley Field firefighter, Derek Sherrell, won the overall race, coming in nine minutes before the next individual racer.

Link Trail Fire Contained

The Link Trail fire, which burned 30 acres between the Link River and Highway 97 is now 100% contained effective 8:42 p.m. yesterday.

Containment is a measure of how much of a fuel break has been completed around the fire.
