Pacific Power Foundation awards Friends of Ella Redkey Pool $3500 grant

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The $3500 grant will help fund construction of a multi-purpose shelter that will serve as an outdoor classroom and gathering space for the community.

The shelter will facilitate a variety of aquatic programs and help extend the outdoor season at Ella Redkey Pool by offering a heating element inside the open-air shelter. The space will offer a cool, shaded place to escape on hot summer days and a warm place to gather on cooler fall and spring nights.

Community Leaders Cut Ribbon on New REACH Facility

Today, community leaders cut the ribbon on a $7 million expansion of REACH, Inc.’s facility in Klamath Falls that serves people with developmental and other serious disabilities in Southern Oregon. The project allowed REACH to formally acquire the Maywood Mill Site, where it has operated for years, and a former bank building nearby, and renovate those facilities to eventually offer enhanced services to its program participants.
