Crater Lake Hospitality Announces New Winter Hours

Crater Lake, OR – Crater Lake Hospitality announced today that it will resume operations at the Rim Village Café and Gift Shop on Saturday, February 2, 2019.  The Rim Café has been closed since December 23, 2018 when winter weather required the closure of park roads during the recent lapse in appropriations.  Crater Lake National Park has now resumed normal operations and the road to Rim Village has reopened.

Ranger-Led Snowshoe Walks To Start This Weekend

Crater Lake, Ore. – Crater Lake National Park has announced that the popular ranger-guided snowshoe walks are about to begin for the 2018-19 winter season.

The walks will take place on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from December 8 through April 28. They will also be offered daily from December 15 through January 6, except on Christmas Day. Snowshoes are provided free of charge for these hikes, and no previous snowshoeing experience is necessary.
