Klamath Tribes closes hotel for two weeks due to COVID exposure

CHILOQUIN, Ore. - Today, October 30, 2020, the Sleep Inn and Suites Hotel building (34333 Hwy, 97 N, Chiloquin, OR) has been closed following the Klamath Tribe’s COVID-19 pandemic response protocol due to a positive COVID-19 case and high risk exposures. The Sleep Inn will close for the next two weeks with estimated re-opening date of November 20, 2020. The current and future guests of Sleep Inn are being accommodated in local hotels.

CHILOQUIN, Ore - The Klamath Tribes have temporarily closed gaming operations at Kla-Mo-Ya Casino and have limit services at the Peak-to-Peak Restaurant. The Crater Lake Junction Travel Center is open but deli food services are limited to carry out. The Sleep Inn Hotel remains open for reservations.

CHILOQUIN, Ore. - The Oregon State Police are investigating a pair of motor vehicle crashes that occurred yesterday, September 23, 2019, believed to be by the same driver. The first impact was into the Kla-Mo-Ya Casino Sleep Inn and a second nearby along Highway 97 that resulted in the vehicle hitting trees.

Klamath Tribes Hotel Development Update

The hotel ground breaking ceremony was held August 15, 2017, adjacent to Kla-Mo-Ya Casino, along Hwy 97 in Chiloquin, Oregon. The ceremony solidified a partnership for a 76-room hotel between the Klamath Tribes and Choice Hotel to build a Sleep Inn Suites complete with indoor pool, conference room, workout facility, guest laundry and breakfast space for hotel visitors. The new hotel will be located directly off Highway 97 connected to the primary parking lot of  Kla-Mo-Ya Casino.
