Tulelake woman dies in crash near Malin

A single vehicle crash on Highway 50 near Malin, Ore. claimed the life of Jessica Harris, 33, of Tulelake, Calif. (Oregon State Police)
On Saturday, September 7, 2019, at approximately 4:11 A.M. Emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Highway 50 close to milepost 19, near Malin, Ore.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a silver 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by Jessica Harris, 33, of Tulelake, Calif. was traveling southbound on Highway 50, when for unknown reasons the Jeep veered off the road and struck a utility pole.
Harris sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Highway 50 was closed for three hours following the crash. Oregon State Police, Merrill Fire, and ODOT responded to the crash.
