100+ Acre wildfire burns near Paisley

PAISLEY, Ore. - The Ben Young fire is currently burning on both private and Forest Service lands located 11 miles S/SW of the town of Paisley. The fire is estimated at 100+ acres and is burning on the east side of the Chewaucan River.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Resources on scene include 4 Heavy Air Tankers, 2 Helicopters, 1 Single Engine Air Tanker, 6 engines, 2- type two hand crews.

A type 3 management team has been ordered.

Please be aware of firefighter safety and avoid increased fire traffic at the FS 33rd, and 3510 roads.
