Ferlan Leads Lady Owls to Invite Title, Men Finish Third

EAGLE POINT, Ore.-  Janelle Ferlan took home medalist honors as she fired a final round 74 to lead the Lady Owls to the Oregon Tech Spring Invite title by 30 strokes over their closest competitor Corban. The OIT men finished in third place with Tech's Houston Knox finishing 2nd at the Eagle Point Golf Club Sunday afternoon.
 
Ferlan shot the low round of the tournament on Sunday with her 74 combined with her first round 75 giving her the 6-stroke win and a 149 total. Teammate Stephanie Kozafinished in second place with a final round 77. Tech's Darby Twight finished in 8th with Holly Froelich rounding out the Owls in the top 10 as she finished in 9th.
 
The OIT men (918) finished in third place as LC-State won the meet with a 904 three round total. Corban finished in second place with a three round total of 915 beating OIT by just three strokes.
 
Tech's Houston Knox fired a final round 74 finishing 5-strokes behind College of Idaho's Chris Carew who took medalist honors with a three round total of 218 (75, 70,73).
 
Tech's Mayson Tibbs finished in a five-way tie for 3rd six strokes behind the winner.
